Middle East Broadcasting

When we were asked to do this little number for Middle East Broadcasting, we were somewhat lost as to the meaning of it all, we had to spend a long time learning about Ramadan and Eid in order to get the feel for the atmosphere we we creating.

The Gathering, our intentions here were to create a scene with the silhouettes which were not to be recognised as either male or female.   They were all to be gathering in one place to begin the celebrations.

The arrival of the crescent moon.

The camera pulls back to reveal the MBC ident on a sunset background ready for the start of Eid.

The start of Eid, the camera starts inside the lamp showing a flurry of coloured lights to depict the beginning of the huge celebration.
